Back to the Fox
I tried. I really did. But the Fox is just better in almost everything.
Since I made the switch I’m having this dilemma: Should I use the good ol’ Firefox or use the more macish Safari?
As I’m posting this I just discovered one more reason not to use Safari. Blog.com’s rich text editor doesn’t work with Safari. Still I’m forcing myself to give it a try. First because it fits much better into the OSX GUI and also because it seems to be a little bit more snappier than Firefox. So what don’t I like about it? Well in fact a number of things:
Still I’m sticking with Safari for some time and give it a chance!
Great news:
From adot’s notblog*:
Bryan Ryner (bryner) brings us the news that he and the Mozilla XForms team “released a beta version of the XForms plugin for Firefox and Seamonkey” Yours truely spoke with Mr. Ryner at length about this release and here’s some of what he had to say.
The wait is finally over. No more ‘it’s still in beta’ excuses. Take the Web Back, now … Hmm, it seems they changed the moto to Rediscover the Web!
Firefox - Rediscover the web
The wait is over. Firefox 1.0 empowers you to browse faster, more safely and more efficiently than with any other browser. Join more than 8 million others and make the switch today. Firefox imports your Favorites, settings and other information, so you have nothing to lose.

Check this and this if you still don’t know why you should change.
Update: Check the cool new Google Firefox Start Page!!!
Firefox 1.0 PR is out and with it Live Bookmarks. Combined with del.icio.us it makes a great bookmark system that you can use anywhere.
And the popup-blocker has a nicer interface too
Very nice Firefox Tip:
adot’s notblog*: tip of the day
If you’re like me and you don’t use bookmarks very often, instead relying on bookmark keywords and address autocompletion, this tip is for you. When you get bogus items in your address autocomplete list, you can easily delete them by just arrowing down to the bogus one and hitting shift delete on your keyboard. Cleaning up your address autocomplete for common sites every once in a while will make your browsing experience more pleasant.
I feel I must be the only person geek that didn’t know Ben Goodger had a Firefox Development blog since January 2003.
Get Firefox 0.9 and you’ll have a fast, usable, standard compliant browser.
Get Thunderbird 0.7 and you’ll have a top of the notch e-mail client.
Mix both with the new Charamel Theme and you get this… very nice!
