Tiago Monteiro near Jordan
The fact that Midland Group bought Jordan (which was in a very tricky finatial situation) allowed the team to sign pilots based on what they are worth driving instead of what they are worth in money.
Tiago Monteiro is known to be highly apreciated by Midland’s boss Trevor Carlin after a successfull season at Midland’s World Series by Nissan team.
There has been no confirmation of a deal from Jordan, but the Portuguese media are building themselves up into a frenzy at the prospect of their first F1 driver since Pedro Lamy a decade ago.
Like Karthikeyan, Monteiro has close links with Trevor Carlin, sporting director of the Midland Group that recently bought Jordan, having driven for him in the 2004 World Series by Nissan. He amassed five victories and finished as runner-up to champion (and ITV-F1 columnist) Heikki Kovalainen.
Update: Record seems to confirm the deal.

You probably meant 2006 season.
Only what is being written in F1 news sites. Most probable scenario is that Tiago stays at Jordan (Midland next year). Other teams that have been mentioned to be interested are BMW, Williams and Toyota (both as driver or test driver). But most is only silly season rumours.

Tiago Monteiro is reliable but not competitive. At this point, I don’t believe any team will want him as a First Driver, and I have strong doubts about any team having him as Test Driver either (there are better choices).
Besides, at the moment, there are only four spots left. Secondary Driver at BMW or Midland, and "maybe" a place at the new Super Aguri team (which is not confirmed to be present at 2006) as a Secondary Driver or Test Driver (Sato will be First Driver if the team is aproved).
Bottom-line, I don’t expect to see much more of Tiago Monteiro in Formula 1 racing.
