Finally online
Finally my pet project for the last few months is online. It’s still in beta testing and with registration by invite only but things are looking smooth and features are beeing added all the time.

Congratulations! I hope you all the luck for the project.
We have the capacity. So, why make it only for Portugal and not with international vision?
Regards,
André

Looking sharp (no pun intended)! Congrats!
Mind the question (and the unappropriate timing): why a new blogging tool (refering to ZOQ, obviously) and what’s wrong with Wordpress, for example?
Andre Restivo Says:
I’m not sure if I understood your first question correctly. Did you ask why a new blogging tool besides ZOQ. Blog.com uses the ZOQ platform (with some refactoring here and there).
Why not Wordpress? Wordpress is a great tool but it’s more CMS oriented than Blog oriented. It lacks a lot of features we need like bandwith limits, quotas, account upgrades, payments, … and has a lot of stuff that we don’t need.
Besides that, we know our platform very well. We know its limitations and its potential.
This and many more reasons have already been answered in this older post: http://www.andrerestivo.com/weblog/5609/
João Campos Says:
What I mean’t to ask was really why “Yet Another Blogging Tool” (it wasn’t specifically related with using it on blog.com), but you answered it all the same
Alexander Says:
My sincerest congratulations on such excellent work and all the hopes for success!
It’s you and FC Porto who are putting Portugal’s name on lips all over the world!

I just have something to appoint… Those colours… Too agressive for the eyes… It’s my marketing director side… But it is really nice. Congratulations!
