Via mac.against.org comes Open Palmtop Integrated Environment (Opie): Linux in a PDA is indeed a little stupid, it’s like killing an ant with a nuclear bomb. But I have to admit Opie is looking real nice.
A Touch of Class
Great article on the overuse of the class attribute within XHTML.
tantek/log/2002/12 Does this mean you should avoid the class attribute altogether? Absolutely not. However, it does mean that before using the class attribute, you should first pick the most semantically specific tag for the job (hint: div and span should be last resorts), and then, and only then, optionally specify a class to denote additional subsemantics.

Pixmania : A nice alternative to Nomatica for buying digital cameras at a decent price in Portugal. My experience with Nomatica was great but it doesn’t hurt to have competition.

4000 users from IIT Bombay are changing from Windows to Linux in a hurry after the last worm attacks.
retroBlogs IIT Bombay is going Linux in two days time. This decision comes as a result of current situation of network which is suffering from one of the worst virus attacks ever. It’s a forced migration from Windows to Linux for more than 4000 users, but I guess its the only way. My Linux enthusiast friend claims that this would have happened in 6 months time anyways. SCOPE I say, because I dont see any scenario where in my Window-lover friends would have willingly shifted to Linux. No-piracy is one, though. But in India one doesnt have to pay for any software, not as yet. Oh, the good old .ppt!

What’s with this world?
Today something really fucked up happened to me. I was driving to work, just after having lunch, and was waiting for the lights to change. Suddenly a car appears, driving on the wrong side of the road, horning and asking to overtake everyone in my lane. At first I thought it was some kind of emergency …
But no, the guy just stops in front of me, exits the car and opens my door and starts asking (shouting really) if I had seen what I have done some minutes before. I started thinking that maybe I runned over somebody and didn’t notice or caused some kind of an accident. The guy points to his shirt and I looked thinking he was showing some blood stains or something.
But no, The guy had a couple of water drops in his shirt. It seems the road was wet and he had his window opened, so when I overtooked him I splashed him a bit. He thought that it was enough to go in my pursuit and threaten to beat me.

Bit Torrent first time
As strange as it might look I had never tried BitTorrent before. Even stranger is the fact that I tried it for the first time with Windows.
My first impressions are excelent. Very easy installation (no questions asked at all). Just clicked the BitTorrent link of the last Matrix Trailer and it started downloading at a very decent speed. At the same time BT started to distribute the file to other BT users.
What’s more impressive is that Time-Warner super servers where Slashdotted almost instantly and BT became the only way to download the file.
