I’m using Mandrake Linux 9.1, and the fonts are just terrible. Although 9.1 has much better fonts than the previous versions, they still are very limited — especially on font sizes larger than 12pt when they look like they’re always bold. Sometime ago I read that Bitstream would donate some nice-looking TrueType fonts for Linux, but I have not found anything else on the subject since.
