Good News from the Valley

Why?

Some people have been asking why we decided to write Yet
Another Blogging Tool. So here are the reasons I can think
about. I’m sure href="http://blog.sergiocarvalho.com/">Sergio and href="http://blog.portugalmail.pt/NuLo/">Nuno can think of a
few others:

• Controlling the code.
• No licensing problems whatsoever.
• Connecting to the href="http://www.portugalmail.pt/">Portugalmail user
  database.
• No ‘rebuilding the site’ overload problems.
• And last but not the least: Because we
  can.

By the way, I hereby propose the name ZOQ
(Zurara+Oraculo+Quill)
for our blogging tool.

K shows some guts

plunge: Sergio is our first beta tester. You have to have some
guts when you change your almost one year long blog to an almost
untested system, that was coded in the spare time of the last href="http://www.andrerestivo.com/weblog/archives/002041.html">2
weeks. I hope he does his own backups

Mozilla Firebird 0.6

Release Notes: After all those stupid naming problems, Mozilla Firebird 0.6 its out. It’s blazing fast and a lot smaller than Mozilla.
Update: Why you should change to Firebird. Nice!
