Simplicity or Flexibility Revisited

Following the discussion about Simplicity vs. Flexibility that
originated from Sergio’s new Site Building System.

The system is undoubtfully powerfull and flexible but it also is
extremely difficult to use(at least for the common user). So we
decided to sit down and think how we could simplify the
concept.

We ended with a layer in top of the original system that will
allow the users to model a system in an easier way, working with
pages, components and datasources instead of aggregations and
transformations.

Perhaps a new open source project is on its way ;)

Zeldman Redesigned

Zeldman finnaly redesigned his site and he did it with style:

New layout in progress, as you may have noticed. All
CSS. No menu yet, as you may also have noticed. Fear not. We’ll get
to it. We’re reorganizing the site to make more sense. The old
stuff (over 60G of content) is still here in the same old places
and will be easier to find when we finish the makeover. If you
can’t wait, scroll down and flip back a page—the old menus await
you there.
