The revolution on the rent-a-car business as begun. This company
has a completely new vision about car rental. First you have to
register with the company and with that you will get a ID card.
Then, whenever you need a car just href="http://www.zipcar.com/car-locations">look for the nearest one
available (online or by phone) and book it. Walk to the car and
use your ID card to unlock it (it will only open for you as you
have booked it beforehand).
You will only pay for the time you used the car and renting a car
is as easy as it can get. Maybe this kind of service will reach
Portugal around the year 2050.

NOMAD Jukebox Zen

iPod has a new competitor. As far as I can tell the main
differences between the 2 devices are:

  • iPod uses Firewire while Zen uses Firewire and
    USB 2.0
  • Zen supports WMA besides MP3 (not that it matters anyway)
  • Zen is cheaper!
  • iPod beneficts from a bigger ‘cool factor’ ;-)

Bottomline is: I definitively want one of them but
now that the iPod has some competition I think I’ll wait for the
market to make those prices lower a bit.
