Mandrake 9.0 are all out. Finally the 3 major, desktop
oriented, Linux distributions released their new
href="http://gcc.gnu.org/gcc-3.2/">GCC 3.2 based products.
Personally I prefer Gentoo
but its nice to see that the more newbie oriented distributions are
getting friendlier every time.

is the first PDA to be designed and developed in India. It runs
Linux (Lineo’s Embedix) and
promises an extended battery life. It somewhat resembles the
href="http://developer.sharpsec.com/">Sharp Zaurus by being a
href="http://www.microsoft.com/mobile/pocketpc/default.asp">Pocket
PC style PDA running Linux. The company itself calls the
product a Pocket PC at the price of a Palm.

This article describes a little unix script that provides a fast
way of distributing a big file to several machines. Probably not a
very robust solution but it should work pretty well. This is the
kind of stuff that makes me prefer nix over windows. For the
impacient ones you can see the script by clicking the ‘more’ link
below.
